Planning  an Electrical Installation

Goal: To get an overview of the current standards of the electrical installation techniques.

Content: Customer information – Planning and designing a simple electrical installation.   (16 Learning Units)


Electrical Techniques – Network Cabling

Goal: To know the basics of the main transmission techniques (balanced / unbalanced, transmitter and receiver for copper and fiber optics), the electromagnetic compatibility and the relevant statutory standards. In addition, to create a structured network cabling plan and prepare an offer as well as install default attachments in different technologies (copper conductors, optical fibers, etc.). Testing and troubleshooting these installations.

Content: Definitions of different cables (coax, twisted pair UTP and STP, optic fiber) – presentation of appropriate standards for structured cabling – explanation of key concepts (LINK, channel, etc.) – installation of standard products in the following technologies: UTP, STP – presentation of various types of cables, components, connectors etc. Presentation of the different acceptance protocols.  (16 Learning Units)


Laws and Standards for Electrical Techniques

Goal: To get an overview of the current standards of electrical installation technology.

Installation of electrical equipment – E8001 and EN1

Goal: To have an overview of the legal basis, protective measures, implementing regulations, etc. for the installment of electrical equipment.
